This sheet is of a section/detail thru the house. I also have listed on EBAY the sheet of the exterior elevations. The drawing is on tracing vellum and is 24"x36" and is in pencil, colored pencil and ink. The red square (F. L. Wright's logo) has Wright's signature (initials) in ink. It is my understanding that Wright would initial the construction drawings after he had given his final review of all the drawings. There are minor creases and the corners have pinholes and tape residue but does not impact the overall quality of the drawing. E-Mail any questions. I purchased this sheet and three others from an art dealer at the local Tulsa flea market. In June of this year, I sent all the drawings to the Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation Archive at Taliesen West. They photographed them and cataloged them into their file system. They asked if I would donate them to the foundation, or if not, will them to the foundation upon my death. I am not in a position to donate them but request that the successful bidder place them in their will to be given to the FLLW Foundation. The photos I have used look blurry on my dial-up modem at home, but look ok with my DSL connection at work. If they look blurry, E-mail me and I will E-mail you JPEG's of each photo.

A third (and final) set of original Frank Lloyd Wright Blueprints, Plans for the Benjamin Aldeman "Desert Cottage" in Phoenix AZ, dated May 1952 This is a third and final set of plans found in the same roll which contained the other two sets I recently had up for auction. This is a completely different house than what was featured in those auctions. This is the Aldeman's "Desert Cottage" built at the Arizona Biltmore in Phoenix, AZ. This is most definitely a "working set" of blueprints. One sheet has a large semi-circular tear on the right edge. It was taped back together at some point. There is no "Wisconsin Blueprint" stamp on the back of these sheets, although being found rolled with the other set, their authenticity is not in doubt. One sheet appears to have been sliced out of the stapled, bound set, and was subsequently taped back in. There are various white pencil revisions scrawled on the plans. I have no knowledge of who made these mark-ups, so please don't write and ask if Wright himself did them. I don't know. There are 6 sheets, approximately 36" x 30" in size, including (as titled on sheets): Plot Plan, General Plan, Elevations, Sections, Roof Framing, and Block Details. Except for the above caveats, this set is excellent condition for its age. A great gift for that architect, historian or student who has everything! (The commission was not executed.) Each blueprint is 28 1/2" high by 41 1/2" wide and in very good condition. The notation "Frank Lloyd Wright Architect" is located bottom, center on each sheet, and each sheet has a square box (lower right) which contains "FLLW/'47". Sheet#5 "Elevations" is displayed below. The complete listing of 8 sheets: 1.Ground Plan 2. Mat and Heating Plan 3.General Floor Plan 4.Roof Framing Plan 5.Elevations 6.Cross Sections 7.Millwork Details 8.Cabinetwork. The blueprints have been folded and have creasings, which need to be relaxed. Because the blueprints are light sensitive, if they are to be displayed UV-blocking glass should be used. A second set of original Frank Lloyd Wright Blueprints Plans for the Aldeman House in Whitefish Bay, WI, dated 20-29 January 1955 This is a second set of plans found in the same roll which contained the other set I recently had up for auction. While this is a set of the same house, it differs from the other set in several important ways: This appears to be an earlier set. On the first sheet, on the "List of Sheets", a sheet 3A Details of Metal Sash (to Follow) is listed, although not included in the set. On the other set I had up for auction, this sheet listing had been erased and marked "void". There is no "Wisconsin Blueprint" stamp on the back of these sheets, although being found rolled with the other set, their authenticity is not in doubt. The other set had an extra half-sheet included (but not recorded on the "Lists of Sheets") called "Revision to Carport", dated 3 March 1955. There are only 7 sheets (since the Carport Revision had not yet been done), approximately 36" x 24" in size (one sheet is slightly larger), including (as titled on sheets): Plot Plan, Footings Heating & Plumbing, General Plan, Elevations, Sections and Details, Revision to Carport, Roof Framing Plan, and Cabinetwork. Like the other set, this set is also in excellent condition, with only minor edge wear and some small tears and folds around the perimeter of a couple of the sheets. On the first sheet there is some contact wear about 1" from the right edge, about 2" long. These plans came to me by way of my father, who worked for an architect who was remodeling a Wright home (the Aldeman house at the Arizona Biltmore) in Phoenix in the early 1960s. The lamp, created around 1903 for the Susan Lawrence Dana House in Springfield, Ill., was acquired for $1,989,500 by a telephone bidder who wished to remain anonymous. The presale estimate for the lamp was $1.2 million to $1.8 million. The double-pedestal lamp, designed in shades of green, yellow and amber, was one of a pair of lamps that stood in the library of the house, which was also designed by Wright. The previous world auction record for a work by Wright was $704,000 for a lamp sold by Christie's in 1988. The prices include the auction house's commission.

Midway Gardens was built in Chicago in 1914 at 60th and cottage grove Ave. It operated for only two years under the same owner. This china with the wonderful Midway Gardens logo designed by wright is very difficult to find in any condition. This example in in fabulous condition. It is 5-15/16" diameter. A bread and butter plate. The surface is still glossy with very little signs of use. No chips, cracks, or discoloration. Being this was the china used in the club it's amazing it escaped in this condition. Perfect logo. There is only light wear on the red squared border probably more from printing on the beveled surface than from use. The back is marked "New York - Chicago Bauscher Weiden (Germany) 1914". This is the German company which made the china in 1914. This is a great item for the serious collector of Frank Lloyd Wright or architectural study. Buyer to pay priority shipping and insurance. Incredible color! This is the “Imperial Arrow” design that Frank Lloyd Wright originally designed for the Imperial Hotel in Japan. With a different color scheme, the native American influenced design was then reused for the Biltmore in Phoenix. (1927). This carpet was rewoven in 1970 under commission from the FLW foundation following a fire at the Biltmore. Management, in the name of “progress” discarded the design in the late 90’s. I have owned 7 Frank Lloyd Wright rugs, and this is one of the nicest. The quality of this one is suitable for wall display. There are no holes, thin spots, or damaged areas, just general even wear appropriate to age. Color is still vibrant. This is a great investment piece that can only appreciate. You can authenticate this piece by looking it up in the book, “Frank Lloyd Wright Design" by Maria Costantino. There is a photo of the foyer featuring this very carpet on page 77. There is a line in the image from the printing to the right of the house so this was probably a rejected copy. Yousuf Karsh is one of the world's greatest portrait photographers, born in Armenia in 1908, has been living in Canada since 1924. His extraordinary photographs of leading international figures are known throughout the world. Yousuf Karsh has published numerous books with his portrait photography. Most of them are out of print but you can still find Karsh: A Sixty-Year Retrospective in bookstores. This large print is from a scarce out of print book of some of Karsh's best portraits. It was printed by the sheet-fed gravure process by the world renowned house of Enschede in Haarlem, Holland, one of the very best printers of high quality art books for nearly three hundred years. These photogravure prints with rich dense blacks and a velvety look are simply beautiful. This gravure, 9.5" x 8", is printed to the edge of thick paper sheet that measures 9.5" x 12". In 1897, Frank Lloyd Wright patented a style of prismatic glass tile designed to refract and diffuse light into the building from the outside for maximum lighting efficiency. These tiles were generally used in store fronts as the transoms to the larger plate glass display windows. This is an interesting example of Wrights early ornamentation. Wright patterned this design for the Luxfer Prism Company in 1897. Some of the tiles that were made, have a beautiful geometric flower design, a raindrop pattern, a pleated design, and some were just plain. You are bidding on a set of nine tiles, one with the F.L.W. flower pattern, two with the raindrop pattern, four plain ones, and two with the panel design. In order to make clear glass in the 1890's, the glass houses of the day added manganese to the glass batch. Adding this chemical resulted in crystal clear glass, but it was only temporary. Exposure to sunlight over years, and years, caused this type of glass to take on a slight lavender color. The same effect happens to 100 year old bottles made out of this same glass These tiles were taken out of a store front window of a building. They have taken on the light lavender color with age. These tiles are in excellent condition, and were leaded into a window measuring approximately 12 3/4" x 12 7/8" suitable for an insert in a door or window. None of the tiles have cracks. All the glass work is finished, and the window is ready to be used. I have provided a picture that shows four close up views of the different tiles, and a view of the window that you are bidding on. These tiles are all 4 inch squares. All 9 tiles were produced by Luxfer; there are 4 prism backed tiles with a smooth top, 4 diamond shaped prism tiles, and one Frank Lloyd Designed Tile. These tiles were salvaged from a demolished building here in Western Kentucky. These tiles do have some chipping but overall, they are very nice and will be wonderful displayed. They have very little purple hue; there was a porch on the building and protected them from direct sunlight. See the third picture for the two possible combinations for these 9 tiles. I've been collecting these items for many years, and tiles from the Solar Prism Co. are some of the most difficult to locate and have some of the best color. The piece is I have been told a line-line replica of a Frank Lloyd Wright designed lamp in the otherworldly "Dana-Thomas" house in Springfield, Illinois. It is at minimum very much like a lamp in the house which I saw in the house many years ago as a tourist before I acquired this piece and also saw again on TV a few months ago on a film tour of the house, which I did not tape. I had this piece stashed for myself but decided to go ahead and offer it up for a little excitement. The piece is PREMIUM! The center panel is one foot tall by about six inches and runs into a sheath surround and is encased within the square poles of the base but separated by space. Just FABULOUS! The piece is two feet and three inches tall and trhe shade is huge at TWENTY ONE AND ONE-HALF inches from side to side. This was a very expensive lamp and the find of a lifetime! Please note all the detailing which is individually as strong as the whole. Fascinating! (I have priced this piece very very well and wish to say for clarity that if this piece does not sell I will not be able to negotiate on it after the sell as it is spoken for by my husband's former partner who has always wanted it. Frank Lloyd Wright originally designed this wooden floor lamp for his own home, Taliesin, built in Spring Green, WI in 1911. Engaged in a solid base, the shaft of the lamp supports a square shade that mimics the roof of a pagoda, certainly one of FLW's signature forms. Gracefully reproportioned here, the lamp now stands at 49"H x 15"W x 17"D. It's soft diffused light makes it a wonderful reading lamp for any living room or office. Completed in 1950, the tower is part of the corporate headquarters campus of S. C. Johnson in Racine, Wisconsin, makers of Pledge, Raid, and many other household products. Their buildings are reknowned the world over for their architectural significance and unusual construction techniques and are considered some of Wright's best works. Very few of these lighters were produced (I've heard only 1,000). This one's in excellent condition. It's stamped on the bottom "JOHNSON'S WAX RESEARCH TOWER/RACINE, WIS." Please note that I do not know anything about marionettes and I am describing to the best of my ability and selling is. It measures approx. 20". I believe he was hand-made. I don't know what he is made of: it isn't composition or plastic, but what it feels and looks like to me is a hard, paper mache. I pulled up one of his pant legs and there is old, newspaper glued around the structure of his legs, and you can see yellowed newspaper from under his sleeves too. He is hand painted, his eyes are blue. His hat and head are one piece. The hat feels like paper mache and has a leather/rawhide band. His white hair and bushy eyebrows feel like rabbit fur. His gray cape has a few tiny holes that I think the strings went through. He is not marked. The strings need to be untangled but I am leaving that up to the buyer. This is the Christie's New York catalog from December 8 & 11, 1993 that featured the sale of most of the Tom Monaghan / Domino's Pizza collection of Frank Lloyd Wright furniture, windows, and other items. Tom Monaghan was the most aggressive collector of high-end Wright items in the late 1980's. His presence at auctions was the reason for the astronomical prices Wright items went for at that time. Over a period of a few years, he amassed the finest collection of Frank Lloyd Wright items in the world, much of which was displayed at the the Domino's headquarters in Michigan. Unfortunately, the collection was largely purchased with money from loans that were secured by the items themselves, and had been bought at vastly inflated prices due to Monaghan's bidding zeal. (Kinda like buying tech stocks on margin!) Monaghan was forced to sell the collection off in the early 1990's. This auction was a good part of it. It is a fantastic FLW sale, probably the best offering in one place ever. In addition, the auction has many pages of great Gustav Stickley furniture, some very rare early (1901) spindle furniture, and some great Harvey Ellis designs. There have never to my knowledge been photos of the 1901 Stickley spindle settle and chair published anywhere else, other than in a 1901 issue of The Craftsman magazine. There is also Limberts; Dirk Van Erp and Elizabeth Burton lamps; Jarvie and Roycroft candlesticks; Grueby; Teco; Rohlfs chairs; and some wonderful major pieces by Greene & Greene, including a fantastic leaded glass hanging lamp from the Blacker House in Pasadena. It is unframed and measures 18 inches by 23 inches. It is new old stcck from 1988. Most of the print is a rendering of the Larkin Administration Building done in silver ink on a white background with a black border. The elevation of the building is shown from the rear corner looking toward the main Larkin factory complex - quite an unusual and rarely captured perspective. Under the artwork is a black background with silver lettering that reads, "THE CHEMICAL BANK ANNUAL EXHIBITION, FRANK LLOYD WRIGHT'S LARKIN BUILDING, FEBRUARY 7 - MARCH 20, 1988, BURCHFIELD ART CENTER, ROCKWELL HALL, BUFFALO STATE COLLEGE, JACK QUINAN, CURATOR". The last third is a magazine called “The Architectural Forum.” This third also has much on Wright but contains other topics as well. The front page of this section is missing a large piece. Also, the edges of many pages are worn. I took photos of the worst pages. Most of the pages are black and white. A few pages on Wright are lined in red. The back cover has some blue areas. Size is 11 7/8 x 8 ¾ inches.

The Architectural Review was a large, expensively-produced periodical; each page was printed on premium glossy paper, and each issue contained many thicker-stock prints (designed with blank reverse sides so that they could be pulled out and framed) showing a variety of architectural plans, details or photographs. Among the features in the issues in this volume: "The Work of Frank Lloyd Wright" by Robert C. Spencer Jr, which runs twelve pages in addition to having three double-page pull out prints and two single page prints. There are a total of 89 illustrations in the Wright pages. The pull-out prints: extraordinary architectural plans for The Heller House in Chicago (a double-page print), The Winslow House in River Forest Illinois (double-page print), House for Mrs. Helen W. Search Words: architecture, architect. Size descriptions: We interpret Octavo to mean between 8" and 10" high, Quarto to mean between 10" and 12" high, and small folio to mean larger than 12" high. Condition: All magazines are complete unless otherwise noted. Generally speaking, magazines do not age as well as books do. Consequently, we consider a magazine in "fine" condition when it has one or two modest flaws, the type that are introduced simply by sitting around for decades. Magazines in "very good" condition have more than two modest flaws, or one or two modest flaws and a significant one. Magazines in "fair" or "good only" condition have two significant flaws, or enough modest flaws to knock them out of the "very good" category. "Disbound" or "previously bound" means that the magazine was at one time trimmed slightly and bound into a book. Usually this results in small notches to the spine and, occasionally, some minor loss of paper. It is usually not a noticeable problem. This one features a centerfold that poses the same way that Marilyn Monroe did in the first Playboy. Also there is a photo and article on America's most famous architect, F.L.Wright. On a scale of 1 to 10, I would rate this a 3. Water has stained about 1/5 of this magazine starting on the spine edge. Staples are rusty. Centerfold is attached and in very good condition, and cover looks nice. Overall fair copy. Please check my other auctions of early Playboy magazines. Low start, no reserve. Good luck.
